My Story

I'm Karien, the founder and creator of Anna Bags... otherwise known as "the bag lady". I started making bags in 2018 after retiring from a career as an Industrial Chemist. I have always been an avid seamstress throughout my life working on different sewing projects. I was never fully able to sew as much as I wanted because I was busy raising a family and working full time. Now having the time to follow my real passion, I can create these beautiful bags from my home studio on wonderful Vancouver Island. Anna Bags is named after my late mother, Anna, who taught me how to sew at from a very young age.
